Aaron Sachs, MD DABS FACS FASMBS

I am a fellowship-trained, board-certified general surgeon specializing in Minimally Invasive surgery, Bariatrics, and Flexible Endoscopy. I completed my surgical internship at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, MI and surgical residency at WellSpan York Hospital in York, PA from 2013-2018. I went on to complete a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery, Bariatrics, & Flexible Endoscopy at the Minnesota Institute for Minimally Invasive Surgery in Crosby, MN from 2018-2019.

After fellowship, I worked at UPMC Memorial Hospital in York, PA from 2019-2022, where I served as Medical Director for the UPMC Comprehensive Program. There, I set up a GI lab including ambulatory pH testing, manometry, and impedance and did the first LINX MSA in South Central PA. I was also involved in resident teaching. Currently, I work for UVA Health Surgical Care headquartered in Haymarket, VA, where I am part of a growing bariatric practice and am working on launching a brand new reflux program.

I am a huge Michigan Wolverines sports fan, enjoy sampling local craft brews, and play guitar outside of work. I love to spend time with my wife and twin boys, who can be a handful!
