Dr. Al-Kassem has been practicing surgery for over 15 years. He graduated from the university of Ottawa, where he earned his general surgery fellowship by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Dr. Al-Kassem earned his bariatric experience through his post-graduate fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine. At Baylor, he earned his expertise to perform; gastric band, gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, and the duodenal switch.

You’ll meet Dr. Al-Kassem at the point of your first consultation, where he will undergo preliminary diagnostics and educate you on the surgery that will fit your specific obesity and metabolic needs.

Dr. Al-Kassem believes in individual patient care, and a strict Ditician follow approach, and this is why Dr. Al-Kassem is part of the process from beginning to end. He is assisted by the most professional nurses and dietitians, ensuring the utmost quality care for his patients.

Dr. Al-Kassem has participated in many medical missions to help out the refugees and displaced in many countries. He has been recongnised for his work by receiving numerous humaitarian awards.
